The Valsøyfjord Sweater is worked from the bottom up. The body is knitted in the round until it is split into front and back. The back is worked straight up, while the front is divided in two and shaped with decreases for the v-neck. The shoulders are either knitted together or seamed. Stitches are then picked up for a ribbed neckline, and finally for the sleeves. The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with ribbing.
